NEB spent the day at Crotched Mountain during their Big Air Competition on March 10. Over two dozen participants showed up to throw down, and throw down they did. These kids brought a new definition to the term steeze. Check out this sweet photo gallery, and be sure to head over to the New England Blast Facebook page to check out even more great shots. AG Winter Paintball BLAST!

Adventure Games in Weare, NH (check them out HERE) recently held a winter paintball event and New England Blast was invited along. And when it comes to NEB and paintball, we’ll be there like tourney paint on a nOOb. It was a great day with a solid turnout (it was -5 degrees in the morning) and people had a great time. NEB cooked up something special on this cold day – hot apple cider with the Blast Mixers! A strange idea, we know, but holy jackson it’s good. Check out the photos below, and be sure to check out AG’s website for Big Game dates – NEB will be at all of them!

Here at NEB, we’re all about positivity. We believe it’s part of being successful, part of having a great time with friends, and a fundamental part of life. And sometimes, we need to have someone validate that positivity for us to give it life and for us to recognize it in ourselves. A good friend of NEB shared this video and we wanted to post it here for you to see. It’s a great reminder to validate, to be validated, and keep the positive elements of life in front of you at all times. Enjoy!

OSG Paintball’s Turkey Shoot

NEB had an absolute BLAST at OSG Paintball’s final big game event for the season, the Turkey Shoot. The weather was a little cold, the fog and remaining snow made conditions a little challenging, but a big turnout and the world’s greatest energy drink made it all worthwhile. It was fantastic making a bunch of new friends and hanging out with the guys at OSG – we are fired up for next season! Be sure to check out NEB’s Facebook page for more photos, and new contests and giveaways!

NEB in the News!

AWhatup NEB Nation! Just recently, the gang over at XS Energy did a write up on New England Blast and we thought we’d share it with ya’ll. The article has been pasted below so give it a read to take a behind the scenes at NEB. Much love to all the guys over at XS Energy for featuring NEB, and a sincere thank you to all our supporters and everyone who is encouraging our success! Have A Blast!

XS Success Story: New England Blast!

Employing a can-do spirit—and understanding the role that Blast Mixers can play in sampling XS Energy Drinks—has helped catapult business for a group of Independent Business Owners in New Hampshire.

With Jeff Paquin leading the way, he and two IBOs in his organization have sold about 100 cases of Blast Mixer this year. They recently began working under the team name of New England Blast.

Whether it’s selling Blast Mixers to individuals, a large water park or restaurant-bars, they have been turning consistent profit by getting the word out from their base in and around Manchester, N.H.

The most powerful tool aiding the process is the B2B Sales Case.

“The sales case is the most critical piece we have used over the past few months—we were just winging it before, using satchels and cramping up our hands as we walked into bars,” Jeff chuckles. “It’s been really great to have team members developing the brand.”

In addition to generating retail profit, the Mixer has proven to be an effective “lead-in product” with individual customers who then branch out and purchase other brands. By demonstrating the ability to create a free shipping order, via the purchase of a few additional items, they have been growing their base of “Ditto” clients.

“When I got my business started, I was stepping into a strong XS market. I was immediately excited about the cans and what they are able to do to grow business,” says Jeff. “But we didn’t really know what we were doing at first, giving out free cans and spending money that we didn’t have to.”

“Then when the Mixers came out, we totally revamped what we did,” he adds. “It really changed our approach with events. The coolest thing about the Mixers is we figured out that the more you can expose the brand, the better off you’ll be. And the Mixers enable you to generate excellent exposure on a smaller budget.”

An upcoming event, a chili festival, is projected to attract 25,000 people and is among the venues where Jeff and his team, including Doran Dal Pra, Nate Goulet and Jeff’s younger brother, Nick Paquin, will set up an XS booth.

With one bottle, you can sample drinks for upwards of 300 people—“that brought our sampling costs way down and our contacting way up,” Jeff reports.

Employing a classic New England mannerism, Doran says that one key is “keeping it wicked simple.” Simply adding water to Blast Mixer can create a great taste, he says, in addition to using carbonated water or even other creative companions like yogurt and iced tea.

Doran is the team member who has been focusing on marketing to locales like bars and restaurants. He attributes much of his progress to Vishaal Pandya’s training on using the B2B Sales Case.

“For anybody, whether they have sales experience or not, it is such an excellent tool,” says Doran. “You could literally read that stuff verbatim if you wanted to. Of course, it’s even better when you craft your own approach, so that when you talk, it really sounds like you.”

One of Doran’s tips is to have all the employees in a restaurant try the XS. For the decision-maker, oftentimes the owner, “it’s harder to say `no’ when everyone there says they love it,” he explains.

“You can approach an establishment initially with this kind of introduction: `I’m not here to sell you anything until you actually drink some samples and tell me that you like it,’” Doran says. “My goal is for the person to sell it on himself.”

He also encourages IBOs to keep an eye on the calendar and consider its impact on traffic flow at various spots. Health clubs, particularly in colder-weather areas, tend to be slower in the summer, when people can engage in outdoor activity. They pick up the pace in the winter, especially after January 1 with the latest round of New Year’s health-related resolutions.

Jeff encourages IBOs everywhere to put into action the building blocks laid out in the B2B Sales Case: “When XS and the Blast brands grow in one area,” he concludes, “IBOs everywhere win.”

Dream a little dream…

Here at NEB, we love cars. High octane gasoline pretty much runs through our veins, along with our Premium Energy Mixers, and enthusiasm. To celebrate our love for all things automotive, here’s a sweet photo gallery of some exotic sheetmetal we’ve spotted recently. There will be more posts hitting the site soon as we ramp up our holiday season events. Till then, Have A Blast!

Chili Cook-off success!

This past weekend saw the World Championship Chili Cook-off take place in downtown Manch-hattan for the second year in a row, and despite the chiller temps and the rain on Saturday, it was a resounding success! New England Blast was thrilled to be a part of this event and we had a blast (obviously) being there for the weekend! People turned out from all over the country to experience and participate in the Chili Cook-off, and John Jepson and Team No. 183 took home the Grand Prize of $25,000 on Sunday afternoon for their winning red chili recipe! Congratulations to all the participants! Be sure to check out the International Chili Society’s website, http://www.chilicookoff.com/, for all the details on the event.

Friday was a gorgeous day, and NEB team members Doran Dal Pra and Nate Goulet manned the NEB booth in the morning, and the dynamic brother duo of Jeff and Nick Paquin arrived later in the day to wrap things up. Friday was the premier of the brand new NEB event booth set up and many thanks to Jeff and Nick’s dad, Rick Paquin, for doing and incredible job of building the display boxes. You helped make the event a major success! On Friday, NEB did what we do best; mingle, share the brands, meet great new people, and drink loads of B-12! After the Cook-off was over for the day, there was a VIP party down at The L&M Grand Nightclub and Lounge where NEB and their close friends had a blast and danced the night away. The next VIP party in November promises to be a great time as well!

Smiling faces are what we like to see!

NEB's Jeff Paquin lurking in the background...

On Saturday, Mother Nature didn’t really feel like cooperating and a portion of the day was filled with rain. But we New Englanders aren’t deterred by bad weather; it’s all about what you make of it! The Chili Cook-off continued to rock, spirits were high, and the delicious aroma of chili wafted through Veteran’s Park. NEB was rockin’ the house from morning till dusk, the Blast! Premium Energy Mixers were flowing, and people were having a great time.

The final day of the Chili Cook-off was definitely the highlight of the event. Sunday saw overcast skies but was free of rain, and chili-heads filled Veteran’s Park and Elm Street, and local bands Tom Dixon Band and Mama Kick’s were kickin’ it on the Park’s stage. There were plenty of family-friendly activities including a magic show from magician Gary Bessette, and an onion decorating contest (can you imagine an onion Jack-o-latern? Would that be an Onion-o-latern?)

The crowds filled the closed down section of Elm Street and the NEB booth was busy all day. We were fired up to meet so many exciting and interesting people, and a major thanks is due to everyone who stopped by and purchased from us. Your support of local businesses like NEB goes a long way and is greatly appreciated! Be sure to head over to the New England Blast Facebook page to check out all the terrific photos from the event, and if you see yourself in one of them, ‘Like’ the page and tag yourself! NEB’s next events will be Sunday, October 9 at Adventure Games Paintball park in Weare, NH for their Fall Brawl Big Game, as well as Outdoor Strategic Games paintball park in Barnstead, NH for their Gears of War 3 scenario game. Grab your facemask and paintball gun and come say hi! Until next time, have a blast!
